a non-profit, global community of cancer researchers, academic institutes and societies, with a shared mission, to accelerate cancer research.
In this collaborative, researchers contribute research tools and share knowledge to deepen our understanding of cancer, and drive innovation within cancer research.
Cancer researchers around the world require research tools to confirm new results and prevent ‘reinventing the wheel’
Yet, thousands of these important materials are physically scattered across labs worldwide and are not easily accessible
A centralised resource that supports the accessibility of these research materials whilst simultaneously allowing scientists to contribute and acquire them is crucial
CancerTools.org is here to fulfil this need and become the home for your cancer research tools
40+ years experience with cancer research tools
Since the founding body of Cancer Research UK - Imperial Cancer Research Fund - was established in the 20th century, the overarching objective to enhance understanding of cancer has prevailed. This has provided a platform to bring cancer discoveries from the laboratory to the forefront of oncology.
One of the key elements in this direction was the formation of a research tools community within Cancer Research UK – CancerTools.org.
To date:
making this cancer focused research tools community, the largest of its kind
CancerTools.org is the research tools arm of Cancer Research UK, a registered charity in England and Wales (1089464), Scotland (SCO41666), the Isle of Man (1103) and Jersey (247).
