Tool Details

  • Tool name: SCN 2.2 cell line
  • Tool type: Cell Lines
  • Parental cell line:
  • Organism: Rat
  • Tissue: Brain
  • Disease: Mental Health Disorders
  • Description: This cell line is derived from rat suprachiasmatic nucleus and are useful in research studying circadian rhythms. This cell line has been characterized by circadian clock properties, distinguishing mammalian SCN in situ. SCN 2.2 displayed extended growth potential without transformed or tumorigenic properties, expresses E1A in all cell nuclei, and heterogenous cell types in various stages of differentiation. SCN 2.2 have glial-like (glial markers were unidentified) and neuronal- like morphologies.
